WTF Taekwondo Association of Canada

Taekwondo Canada is the Canadian representative for the Kukkiwon. All Dan rank promotions are processed there before submission to the Kukkiwon.

Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters

The Kukkiwon is the issuing body for Taekwondo Dan rank promotion and certification. In addition, the Kukkiwon conducts research and instructional seminars and is home to the World Taekwondo Academy, which trains and certifies Taekwondo instructors through its leadership course. It is also involved in technical development and research of Taekwondo, the collection of related materials, public relations and publications, and the training of coaches and students.
The Kukkiwon is the only Taekwondo organization whose Dan ranks the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) recognizes. The WTF does not issue Dan ranks or Black Belt certifications. Both the Kukkiwon and the WTF are separate organizations, although the two are often confused with each other. As a result, the term "WTF" is sometimes used to refer to the Kukkiwon-style Taekwondo.

International Alliance of Martial Arts Schools

The International Alliance of Martial Arts Schools (IAOMAS) is a worldwide family of martial artists bonded together for the purpose of expanding not only the benefits of the martial arts but the family spirit that the martial arts can create. The IAOMAS is a support network for both student and instructor alike and offers access to other martial artists around the globe.

Aikido of Winnipeg

Founded in 1991, Aikido of Winnipeg was established as a not-for-profit dojo at its current location in 2004. With a focus on mind, body and spirit co-ordination, there is an emphasis on clear, precise, basic movements which with consistent practice become graceful and effective movements. Beginners are consistently treated with care and respect in a creative and challenging atmosphere. Prairie Phoenix Martial Arts shares a dojo/dojang with Aikido of Winnipeg. For more information about Aikido of Winnipeg contact Doug Reichert, Sensei at 775-7008 or 470-8269.
